Its name means roughly "chestnut person", and Kuribo is also the Japanese name of Mario's Goomba. Kazuki Takahashi called it his third-favorite monster: "What does that look actually mean?" Kaiba called it one of the weakest cards, yet it kept saving Yugi, and in the anime it chose itself as his Deck Master.
Named after the Japanese title of episode 24, "Multiplying Kuribo! The Astonishing Conclusion": Kuriboh plus Multiply makes a wall of Kuribohs, which Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon charged into in manga chapter 104.
Manga chapter 131: Pegasus's Thousand-Eyes Restrict tries to absorb Magician of Black Chaos, swallows the multiplied Kuribohs instead, and is blinded when they explode.
Kuriboh with the claws and Eye of Anubis of Relinquished, since Kuriboh beat Thousand-Eyes Restrict (Detonating Kuriboh), the Fusion of Relinquished and Thousand-Eyes Idol. It seems to have swapped effects with Sphere Kuriboh in development.
Shaped like The Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode, light rays and all. Its Japanese name, Kuriball, is the anime attack of Kuriboo.

The Kuriboh archetype is a fascinating case study in evolution, originating from a single, iconic monster into a sprawling family. Unlike traditional archetypes, Kuriboh functions as a versatile, Level 1 swarm engine. Its modern strategy isn't to win with its own members, but to flood the field with materials for powerful, generic Extra Deck monsters. While rooted in nostalgia, its contemporary use is a casual-to-rogue combo deck capable of producing formidable boards, though it can be hampered by inconsistency.

Kuribah, Kuribee, Kuriboo, and Kuribeh, alongside the original, form a five-part engine that is the heart of the deck's ability to generate a critical mass of monsters.

Kuribabylon

The nominal boss of the Brothers engine. It can be Special Summoned from the hand and has a powerful effect to return itself to the hand to Special Summon all five original Brothers from the hand and/or Graveyard.

New Card Spotlight: Kuriboh - Multiply! & Sabatiel LV10

Limit Over Collection: The Heroes handed the fluffballs their first genuinely proactive cards. Kuriboh - Multiply! compresses the old Kuriboh-plus-Multiply pairing into a single Level 1 body that summons itself out of the hand and tutors from the archetype's own stat line. Winged Kuriboh Sabatiel LV10 turns a famously unplayable Level 10 into a hand-revealed Fusion tutor and an opponent-turn burn finisher. Both are 300 ATK / 200 DEF, and that detail is what ties them together.

Kuriboh - Multiply!

Level 1 DARK Fiend 300 / 200

Summons itself from the hand

A Quick Effect when an opponent's monster declares an attack or your opponent activates a monster effect. No board required, no discard, no cost. Hard once per turn.

Tutors the 300/200 pool

Once per turn, when the opponent activates a monster effect on the field, or during damage calculation against one of their attacks: add to your hand or Special Summon 1 Dark Magician or any monster with exactly 300 ATK / 200 DEF, from your Deck or Graveyard.

Then flattens the threat

After that resolves you may change the opponent monster's ATK to 0. The search happens first, so you still get the body even when the ATK change does nothing.

Reveal, pay half, tutor a Fusion Spell

Reveal it in hand and pay half your Life Points to add any "Polymerization" or "Fusion" Spell from the Deck. It never touches the field, so on-field negation cannot reach it.

Two clauses that bite

Resolving that search shuffles Sabatiel back into the Deck, and locks your Extra Deck to "HERO" monsters for the rest of the turn.

Burn finisher at 1000 LP or less

Quick Effect on the opponent's turn: Special Summon it from the hand, then inflict damage equal to the highest ATK among the monsters they control. The better their board, the harder it hits.

What Actually Changes

Turn zero with an empty board

The old Multiply needed a face-up Kuriboh to Tribute, so it was dead in the opening hand. This summons itself for free.

300/200 became a toolbox

The archetype's signature stat line is now a search key. Twenty-plus Kuriboh monsters read off one clause, from the Deck or the Graveyard.

The two cards find each other

Sabatiel LV10 is itself 300/200, so Kuriboh - Multiply! can pull it straight out of the Deck. That is the whole engine in two cards.

Winged Kuriboh LV10 is playable

No Transcendent Wings, no three-card investment. Sabatiel reaches the board off a Life Point total instead.

The HERO lock fights the deck

Sabatiel's search bans every non-HERO Extra Deck summon for the turn, which is exactly the Link climbing and Rank 1 Xyz the deck lives on.

Half your Life Points, twice

Getting under 1000 LP for the burn takes two payments. A stall deck with no negates spends that turn one bad read from losing.

The 300/200 Club

Everything Kuriboh - Multiply! can add to hand or Special Summon, from Deck or Graveyard. The clause reads on the exact stat line, not on the "Kuriboh" name, so a few non-Kuriboh bodies sneak in and a few Kuribohs are locked out.

Kuribohs the effect cannot touch

Astral Kuriboh 100 / 100 Rainbow Kuriboh 100 / 100 Kuribandit 1000 / 700

Astral Kuriboh is the trap. It is the Level 5 enabler the classic combo above leans on, and it is 100 ATK / 100 DEF. Kuriboh - Multiply! cannot fetch it, so keep a separate way to open Five Star Twilight.

Neither new card is searchable by name. The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh names the specific cards "Kuriboh" and "Winged Kuriboh", not the archetype, and Five Star Twilight and Kuribabylon list the five brothers one by one. Kuriboh - Multiply! and Sabatiel LV10 sit outside all three.

Strategic Combo Lines

The core interaction needs nothing but Kuriboh - Multiply! in hand and an opponent who wants to do something. Everything below happens on their turn, from an empty field with your Normal Summon untouched.

Drop It From The Hand

Your opponent declares an attack or activates a monster effect, so Special Summon Kuriboh - Multiply! from your hand. No board, no Tribute, and no cost.

Summon Sabatiel From The Deck

On their next monster effect on the field, use the second effect. Special Summon Winged Kuriboh Sabatiel LV10 straight out of the Deck, because it is 300 ATK / 200 DEF, then change that monster's ATK to 0.

1LIMITED

Two Bodies, Zero Cards Spent

You now hold two monsters on a board that was empty, and their threat is at 0 ATK. The Level 1 half is also Linkuriboh fodder, so the same two bodies can become a Link plus a Level 10 instead.

What you did not pay. Summoning Sabatiel this way skips both of its own drawbacks. There is no half-LP cost and no HERO lock, because that lock lives on Sabatiel's first effect and you never activated it.

Sabatiel's second effect turns an opponent's best board against them, but only under 1000 Life Points. Getting there is the actual puzzle, and the two cards solve it together.

Pay Half, Search A Fusion

Reveal Winged Kuriboh Sabatiel LV10 and pay half your LP to add a "Polymerization" or "Fusion" Spell. You drop to 4000 and Sabatiel shuffles itself back into the Deck.

Get Under The Threshold

Repeat it a turn later with a second copy or a fresh draw and you sit at 2000. Battle damage, or the End Phase hit from Where Arf Thou?, covers the last stretch down to 1000.

Recycle Sabatiel To Hand

Use Kuriboh - Multiply!'s second effect to add Sabatiel back from the Deck to your hand. This is the clause that makes the whole loop work.

Burn For Their Best Monster

On the opponent's turn at 1000 LP or less, Special Summon Sabatiel from the hand and inflict damage equal to the highest ATK they control. Against a 3000 ATK boss that is 3000 damage for free.

Read Where Arf Thou? carefully. Its 2000 damage lands in the End Phase, and only if you never Normal Summoned the monster you searched. Kuriboh - Multiply! wants to be Special Summoned from the hand on their turn, so you rarely dodge it. That is a clean way down to 1000 Life Points, and a loss if you were already at 2000.
